The Greater New Orleans Football Officials Association (GNOFOA) is a New Orleans-based organization of amateur football officials from of all walks of life – educators, firefighters, police officers, dentists, lawyers, accountants, federal and state employees, healthcare professionals, salespeople, engineers, students, IT professionals, business owners, and others. Each is dedicated to providing the highest levels of professionalism and quality officiating to football programs throughout our service area. With approximately 150 member officials, GNOFOA is among the largest football officiating associations in the State of Louisiana.
GNOFOA provides officials for nearly 600 games per season. Our veteran officials referee games mainly at the Varsity level at more than 50 public and private high schools in our service area. The entire association, new members to veterans, referees numerous youth league games and all sub-varsity assignments. GNOFOA covers member schools in the following parishes: Orleans, Jefferson, St. Tammany, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, and St. Charles.
We are comprised of a group of individuals committed to providing quality football officiating services to our client schools. We endeavor to supply the best-trained, skilled, and conscientious football officials for high school games, as well as youth and middle school programs in our region. Many of our current and past members have advanced their officiating skills to work at the Division I level of the NCAA, and other levels of collegiate football. We are proud, and honored, to enjoy the exceptional instruction and leadership that’s provided by current and former GNOFOA members:
